You don’t have to be rich or naturally good looking to get girls. You just need to be funny. If you make a woman laugh you’ll get all her attention, and consequently she will want to date you more often. The problem is that not everyone is born with the talent to make other people laugh.

However I do believe that you can develop a witty personality by being exposed to funny content. You might not be able to develop your own jokes at first, but if you’re surrounded by good comedy material you will start memorizing good jokes, which you can apply to your daily routine. In this article I’m going to show you how I get my jokes and how I try to be funny and witty. Keep in mind that not everyone will laugh at your jokes, and some jokes will simply fail. The trick is to keep the good ones and eliminate the bad ones.

Study

Study your atmosphere by listening to what people says and what jokes they use. A good way to be funny is to develop what I usually call “counter-jokes”. I’m going to explain this with an example: I had this friend of mine who used to joke on me every time I complimented him with a “How’s it going?” He would reply with this stupid line: “In and out” So after falling for it a couple of times I decided to spend some time thinking of a good answer. I waited for the next time we would meet and shot my question: “Hey! How’s it going?” and he told me the same old line: “In and out” and I told him: “Oh! You still remember?” and left the perimeter while her girlfriend was laughing uncontrollably. You understand the logic? Listen to what people usually say and study good jokes for them.

Teasing

Teasing a girl is so easy. You only require two things. First of all she needs to make something, is doesn’t matter what, any action will do. The second thing you need is a book full of blonde jokes. There’s a blonde joke for every possible situation. I’m going to give you a couple of examples: Let’s say that your girl is looking at something with that characteristic interrogation face that we all know, it could be her cell phone, a magazine, anything. If she’s doing that face try asking her: “Do you need an illustration with that?” or “Too many moving parts?” This will probably make her laugh and the joke was on her.

Laugh at yourself

If you can’t laugh at yourself, you will fail miserably trying to be funny. If something awkward happened to you, tell her the story. Remember when Seinfeld was always into trouble with his buddies? He was always in the middle of some crazy situation provoked by his friends. That’s the kind of stories you have to tell her. Make sure the story doesn’t makes you look completely dumb. Tell her about your crazy life, she will feel motivated to hang out with you, hoping that you two get some cool stories together.

Don’t be a clown

I’ve said this before, in our pickup lines article, and it’s really important: It’s ok to joke around, but it’s essential to know when to stop. If you’re joking all the time, you won’t have time for romance, and women need some romantic moments. Don’t let people label you as “the clown”. You want to be labeled as a witty, cool guy. Not someone with no brains.

That’s it. I hope this will help you out. As I said on the first lines, don’t feel bad if no one laughs. Give your jokes a second chance. If they don’t work, simply eliminate them from your arsenal, and keep only the good ones. Don’t forget to study the environment around you. Pay attention to the jokes that are being used and make some “counter-jokes”.
